Acmetex Silica Insulation Mat is a specially designed needled silica insulation mat that has undergone a secondary pre-shrinking procedure. The mechanically bonded amorphous silica fibers used make it well suited to usage in a wide range of critical high-temperature aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. In addition to its wide variety of applications, this silica insulation mat is environmentally friendly as it contains no harmful Refractory Ceramic Fibers. It can be easily fabricated into a range of textile parts to do its ease of handling and strength properties. The pre-shrinking process results in an insulation that will exhibit very minor shrinkage when used in high-heat applications.
